Pastor: Rev. Micah Brooks

Pastor Micah Brooks attended Michigan Technological University and obtained a degree in Civil Engineering. He worked as a Construction Engineer for 11 years. In 2019, he moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana to attend the Seminary. Upon graduating, Micah was placed at St. Luke as his first congregation.  He and his family are over-joyed to be in Nunica, Michigan! May their time together be a testimony of His love, mercy, and grace. May we grow together as disciples of Christ, children of God, and brothers and sisters in Christ. To Christ be the glory!

Substitute Organist:  Priscilla Isabel

Priscilla steps into our Organist role when our other team members are not available. She began playing the organ, without any formal training, at the age of 14 and have played at various churches over the past 50 years. She had been the Organist for St. John's Lutheran in Grand Haven until she stepped in to support St. Luke.  She plays beautifully and we count ourselves fortunate to utilize her talent.

Substitute Organist: Jackie Haystead

Jackie accompanies our worship services on an as-needed bases, as our other Organists are not available. She is the Organist at Grace Lutheran Church in Coopersville; however, Jackie often steps in to play during our Advent and Lent midweek services, as well as memorial or funeral services.

Jackie has been playing for years and we appreciate her flexible schedule, and her willingness to share her musical gifts with St. Luke.

Custodian: Chelsea Lauber

Chelsea joined us in 2022 as our Custodian, and does a fabulous job on taking care of the interior of St. Luke.  As a full time Mom of four, she is well accustomed to tidying up and keeping our church presentable and looking great!  We greatly appreciate Chelsea and her ever-smiling presence.

 Sunday Tech Team: Steve Hecksel

Steve is a member of our Sunday worship Tech Team.  He utilizes our service information  to  bolster our worship experiences, through our live-streamed services, the use of video  screens, music, and sound.

In addition to this role, Steve is our Board of Directors Vice-Chair, a church Trustee, and  accompanies special services on his trumpet.

Sunday Tech Team: Mel Lahrman
