MAY MINISTRY OF THE MONTH

Love In Action - Grand Haven

Love in Action is a ministry that works with a network of church partners, volunteers, and partner organizations to help neighbors in need. They do this through different community programs within the Tri-Cities.  Their mission is to center on Jesus, who loves everyone, to transform lives by empowering people to thrive.

Love in Action combines community resources to provide food, clothing, medical care, shelter, and other services to those who experience times of need.   

VBS 2024

It's a jungle out there! At The Great Jungle Journey VBS, kids sail along on a fun jungle cruise, stopping at seven ports of call - the 7 C's of History: Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross, and Consummation. 

Dates: July 8 - 11, evenings

We offer suppers at 5:30 p.m. Class begins at 6:15 pm, and we wrap up each evening at 8:10 p.m.

Kids will discover how these biblical events shape our world, and they will learn to reconnect the Bible to their everyday lives. They will know their Creator became their Savior!

2024 YOUTH NIGHTS

We hope to see your tweens and teens at our bi-monthly Youth Nights!  St. Luke is hosting the next event. The fun runs from 6 pm - 8 pm. Your kids are most welcome, and encouraged to invite their friends.

2024  FEEDING AMERICA MOBILE FOOD TRUCKS

You and your neighbors are invited to attend our food trucks; each held on a Tuesday evening with distribution at 6:00 pm.

2024 MICHIGAN JR. HIGH YOUTH GATHERING 

This gathering will be held in late July, 2024.  The group will be staying at a hotel with a  water park, which will be fun! 

Funds received from the March 13 Lenten supper will go towards lowering this fee for all junior high student members who plan to attend. 

2025 LCMS SR HIGH YOUTH GATHERING – New Orleans 

Held every 3 years, the LCMS Youth Gathering provides thousands of youth the opportunity to come together to learn more about Jesus Christ, the Christian faith and their Lutheran identity.  During the Gathering, youth spend time together in God’s Word, worship, service and fellowship with others from across the synod. 

Registration by November 1, 2024.  Later registration will have an increased cost.  Hotel, travel, and meal costs are not included in the registration fee.

CARE CABINET

St. Luke offers shelf-stable food and health / hygiene / cleaning supplies to the greater Nunica community. Located in the main entry of the church (on 2nd Street), the Care Cabinet is open 24/7.  

Our Care Cabinet is 100% donation-driven.  Please, take as you need and give if you can! Items to consider donating:
